You beat a man thoroughly with both hands & use the one hand to draw him closer [pretentiously] to pacify him & try to be affectionate. How nice??? The concept of slavery has changed with time, but the underlying ‘power dynamics’ has remained just as predatory as they were in the past; same deceptive & cyclical nature of systemic oppression, exploitation & post-colonial dynamics. We really lack [functioning] conscience in this country! Changing times you would say! God help us!!!
