It is rather disingenuous to ask Nigerian leaders to emulate their UK counterparts in terms of resignation.
It is a totally different system, removing a leader in a parliamentary system is as easy as removing a senate president or speaker and the power they will is somehow checkmated.
If you want to be sincere, ask yourself how many American 🇺🇸 president have resigned in your lifetime over non performance.
The resignation of a president may even throw the country into political instability.
That’s why those with a parliamentary system still have a ceremonial leader like a King or president.
