TO WHOM? TO WHAT END?

The mountain does not descend to argue with the valley about its height. The ocean does not chase every stone thrown into it to explain its depth.
Yet man, fragile as a leaf in harmattan wind, often drags his soul through deserts of exhaustion to prove to strangers that he is a forest.

I have seen eagles forget the language of the sky, descending into the marketplace to debate sparrows about the existence of wings. I have seen rivers abandon their journey to the sea, lingering among reeds to convince frogs that they are not puddles and all the while, the sea remained the sea, the mountain remained the mountain and truth remained untouched by the noise surrounding it.

When the urge rises like a storm within your chest, when pride sharpens its spear and wounded ego mounts its horse, pause. Stand at the crossroads of your emotions and ask:

TO WHOM?
To the passing shadows who themselves are searching for mirrors?
To the crowd whose applause today becomes silence tomorrow?
To the traveler who has not walked your road yet claims to know your destination? And then ask:

TO WHAT END?
Will the flower bloom brighter because the blind acknowledges its colour?
Will the sun burn warmer because the night approves its light?
Will the tree grow taller because the grass agrees with its height? No.

The river reaches the ocean not by argument, but by flow. The seed proves itself not by speech, but by becoming. The stars announce their existence not through debate, but by shining. Therefore, guard your strength. For every battle accepted becomes a tax upon the soul.

Some questions deserve answers. Some accusations deserve silence and sometimes the highest form of proof is to continue your journey while the dust of lesser contests settles behind you.For destiny has never required the permission of spectators.

The mountain remains unmoved.
The ocean remains deep.
And the wise man learns that not every challenge is a summons. So before you carry a burden that was never yours,
pause...
and ask:
To whom?
To what end?

TO WHOM? TO WHAT END?

The mountain does not descend to argue with the valley about its height. The...

This can only come from a place of deep reflection. There are moments where you have to consciously choose peace over being right.

We often mistake defending our honor for protecting our worth, when in reality, engaging in "lesser contests" is what actually diminishes us. You mustn't always pr...
