Former Lagos CP Fatai Owoseni is on AIT and I agree with him on the existence of forest reserves in Nigeria vis-a-vis their security implications.

Nigeria inherited these large swathes of lands the colonial masters carved out as forest reserves. But because maintaining forests doesn't fit into our culture we simply abandoned them instead of giving them up for farming.

Today the forest reserves have become veritable covers for terrorists.
