Former Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has called on residents, political stakeholders and opposition candidates to unite behind Governor Biodun Oyebanji following his re-election victory. Describing the election outcome as a strong endorsement of Oyebanji's performance and leadership, Fayemi said the result reflected the confidence Ekiti people have in the governor's development agenda.

Congratulating Oyebanji on his decisive win, Fayemi praised voters for their peaceful participation and emphasized that elections should strengthen democracy rather than deepen divisions. He urged rival candidates to accept the outcome in good faith and work collaboratively for the progress of the state, stressing that Ekiti's development must take precedence over political differences.

The former governor also appealed to Ekiti indigenes at home and in the diaspora to support the administration's efforts to sustain the state's legacy of good governance and accelerate development.
