🇫🇷French broadcaster France Pierron has been taken off air with immediate effect following the backlash surrounding her comments about Jérémy Doku, according to journalist Clément Garin.

Pierron came under heavy criticism after describing childbirth as a "disgusting moment" while discussing Doku's suggestion of a temporary departure from Belgium's World Cup camp to be present for the birth of his son.

The controversy sparked widespread outrage across social media and the press, leading L'Équipe to publicly apologise to Doku before suspending the presenter.
