The NCC and CAC have jointly introduced a new requirement mandating prior regulatory approval before any significant ownership change in licensed telecom companies can be registered. Any share transfer of 10% or more of a licensed telecom's total share capital, including cumulative transfers that reach the 10% threshold, now requires a Letter of No Objection from the NCC before the CAC can process or register the change.
