Why Is the Nigerian Political Class Punishing Nigerians?
Why does it seem that the Nigerian political class is punishing ordinary Nigerians?
For hoping?
For healing?
For trying to survive against all odds?
Every day, millions of Nigerians wake up determined to work, provide for their families, and build a better future. Yet they are met with rising hardship, failing infrastructure, insecurity, unemployment, and policies that appear disconnected from the realities of everyday life.
The people are not asking for miracles. They are asking for opportunities, accountability, and leadership that puts the nation above personal interests.
A government should ease the burden on its citizens, not add to it. It should create an environment where hard work is rewarded, not where survival itself becomes a daily struggle.
The resilience of Nigerians is extraordinary, but resilience should not be mistaken for acceptance. A nation cannot continue to rely on the endurance of its people while ignoring their suffering.
The question remains: Why must Nigerians pay the price for the failures of those elected to serve them?
