A family in Igboho, Oyo State, was kidnapped in the middle of the night. It included a pregnant woman, her children, and her sibling.

The kidnappers demanded ₦300 million ransom, then reduced it to ₦150 million.

But the pregnant woman was killed. The person who took the ransom was also killed.

Then Sunday Igboho stepped in.

He gave Fulani leaders in the town a two-hour ultimatum. Release the remaining victims or face him.

He said, "You cannot be kidnapping people in my father's land and expect me to keep quiet. I am an original indigene of Igboho".

And just like that, the victims were freed. The town erupted in celebration.

Now let me ask you.

Why does it take a non-state actor to get results while security agencies watch?

If Sunday Igboho can get victims freed in two hours, what exactly are the police and military doing?

Is this leadership or vigilantism? And should we be celebrating or worried?

These are not attacks. These are questions.
