The words of Jesus, “Do not be afraid”, in today's Gospel resound like a refrain through all three readings. Fear is one of the most powerful forces shaping human behavior. It can silence truth, weaken faith, manipulate societies, and paralyze hope. Fear takes many forms in our contemporary world. We fear economic uncertainty, war, violence, social instability, political oppression, and the rapid transformation brought about by artificial intelligence and digital technologies. We also suffer the consequences of poor/bad governance, corruption, injustice, and leadership failures that often leave ordinary people feeling abandoned and powerless. Into this atmosphere of anxiety, the Word of God speaks a message of courage and trust.
