The world witnessed a heroic #FIFAWC2026 performance from Curaçao and Eloy Room!.
The 37-year old Curaçao goalkeeper made 15 saves, the most since Tim Howard's 2014 World Cup record, to keep Ecuador scoreless for a second consecutive match, delivering one of the most clutch goalkeeping performances in World Cup history.
Room dedicated the win to Jairzinho, the goalkeeper from Curaçao who sadly passed away 7 years ago.
Eloy Room was named the #FIFA "Man of the Match". And Curaçao achieved their first ever World Cup point!.
What a magical moment for the smallest country to EVER qualify for the World Cup 🇨🇼
