Haiti became the first team eliminated from the 2026 World Cup, bringing an end to what was a historic journey for a nation that had waited decades to return to football's biggest stage 🇭🇹.

Their previous and only World Cup appearance was back in 1974, meaning generations of Haitians never got to see their country compete at this level. Just qualifying for this tournament was a monumental achievement since they were not even able to play any of the qualifying matches in their own country due to ongoing gang warfare.

Haiti's fans brought pure joy and energy EVERYWHERE they went. And they held their own against Scotland and Brazil, showing great improvement in the pitch.
