AI agents are getting access to real payment rails.

Alchemy’s AgentCard is now integrated with Visa Intelligent Commerce, allowing AI agents to make online purchases with identity and payment capabilities.

This means agents built on models from providers like OpenAI or Anthropic could book travel, order groceries, renew subscriptions, or complete transactions without a user manually going through checkout.

The key shift is simple: AI agents are becoming economic actors.
