So I still remember the first time I wrote her a love letter sometimes in 2011.
"You are the only apple in my father's compound. I don't want to plug the apple because, if I do, I will be plugging you out of my life.
Anytime I see you I see angels from heaven coming down and you are the one in front of the angels. Baby if the trumpet should sound now, I want to be with you, because while you were busy serving God, I was busy staring at your beautiful eyes and loving you. You will not understand but when ever you kiss me I feel like dying, because you give me the kiss of death.
Your love is like kerosene to my stove and fire to my candle. Your presence in my life is like NEPA light. When you are there, I see light, but when you are not there all I see is darkness.
Baby when ever you touch my cheeks with your breath, my heart rings like school bell inside of me 'Giling giling giling'. Sometimes I don't wanna be late to school, because being late to school is like being late for my own funeral; No body will see dead body to bury.
I love you baby heart. You are my priceless jewel. Your hair falls like the river of Niger and coils like the streams of Benue. Please don't reject me. Please love me forever. Say yes to me and I shall be the man who will never break your heart, because if I break your heart, then my life will break too."
People of God, two days later, I ended up reading this letter in front of the assembly ground to the whole student, while her father who was the principal stood behind me with koboko.
Instead of the man to say Caleb wrote a love letter to this student. He kept saying Caleb wrote a love letter to my daughter.
That was when I knew my punishment was a family matter and not school matter anymore.
Cynthia wherever you are now, I just want to remind you that I have not forgotten the chinchin you promise to buy me after I successfully received 25 strokes of koboko for love.
una Goodu morning
