Residents of Anchau town in Kubau Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Wednesday reportedly thwarted an attempt by armed bandits to invade their community. Sources said local youths and other residents mobilised to confront the attackers, who allegedly fired several rounds in an effort to disperse the crowd but failed to gain access to the town before retreating.
