Whilst the headline in the FT's latest ranking of Africa's fastest-growing companies highlights that Kenya has leapfrogged Nigeria into second place behind South Africa, 4 out of the top 10 fastest growing companies are Nigerian, more than any other single nation.

The report does however highlight the specific challenges facing Nigerian companies, especially with the start of the new presidential election cycle.

But it's an interesting insight into the current state of business in Africa:
