So today at work, someone almost gave me a free beat.
Her crime list against me: β€œWe’ve worked in the same department for YEARS, and you’ve NEVER visited me after work or even called me!”

Me, the innocent guy: β€œMa, you’re my colleague, not my friend.”

Her: _freezes_ β€œWhat did you say??”
Me: _repeat it slowly like NEPA reading meter_ β€œYou. Are. My. Colleague. Not. My. Friend.”

The next thing I saw was fire in her eyes πŸ”₯
Please, judges of the internet… Did I commit a crime? Or did I just state facts with my full chest?

You didn't commit a crime, you just stated facts. Colleague vs frienf, there's a difference. Not everyone at work deserves after-work access. Boundaries are healthy!

But maybe next time, add "no vex" at the end to soften the blow. πŸ˜‚ Since it's possible the fellow already...
