Asleep in comfort while the motherland cries.
The clock is merciless, the dawn impatient
Tomorrow won’t wait, no matter how wise we sound.
Your certificates, your voices, your power,
Must rise today or watch our future drown.
Educated elite, awake!
The time to fix Nigeria is now.
Hearts on fire, hands to work
For tomorrow has already left the ground.
Let’s build her! Let’s save her!
