South African Minister of Justice, Mmamoloko Kubayi, has confirmed that South African artists are losing income due to the cancellation of performances across the African continent.

These cancellations are a result of the regional backlash against South Africa following recent anti-immigr@nt protests and the government’s crackdown on illegal immigration. The Minister acknowledged that the country's international reputation is "hurting" and that the entertainment industry, alongside various South African businesses operating abroad, is experiencing significant economic strain.
