Brazil have received a major boost at the
FIFA World Cup as Neymar returned to on-pitch training for the first time since joining the squad in the United States. The 34-year-old forward, sidelined for a month with a right calf injury suffered while playing for Santos, resumed light field work and running drills as part of his rehabilitation programme. The Brazil Football Confederation (CBF) described the session as another important step in his recovery. Despite being included in Brazil's World Cup squad, Neymar is still recovering from a Grade Il muscle injury and is expected to miss the remaining Group C matches against Haiti and Scotland. Team doctors are reportedly targeting a return during the knockout stages. The latest setback adds to a challenging period for the Brazilian star, who has spent nearly 700 days sidelined by injuries since suffering a serious knee injury in October 2023.
