The world celebrated Sir Lewis Hamilton's historic first win with Ferrari β€οΈππ₯
David Beckham, Serena Williams, Formula 1 drivers, teams and icons shared their support and congratulations to Hamilton on his fantastic 106th victory.
"Huge congrats to Lewis π First 1-2-3 British podium for almost 60 years which is pretty cool π¬π§π¬π§π¬π§" wrote George Russell, who ended up on the second place on the podium.
Lando Norris, who completed the podium, said: βYou could see how much it meant to him. Heβs had had a lot of people talk badly about him and he's got a lot of crap online from a lot of people, so it's nice that he can stick the middle finger up to all of them.β
Max Verstappen: "It was a beautiful moment. I think he went pretty quick today from what I saw. It's very special, even if you've already won so many races, to win with your new team, it's very special."
Nico Rosberg said βWe've witnessed a legendary moment of F1. It's historic for him, and it's a historic moment. I think the whole of the F1 world, everybody appreciates this moment. There's nobody who does not appreciate this moment. Also, he went through such an extremely tough start to the time at Ferrari. It's amazing how he's really managed to turn it around and climb to his greatness once again, you know. It's awesome to witness.β
βWe all kind of want this to continue now, because we want him to take on the fight to the Mercedes guys. That would be awesome. The car is fast, so let's see if they can make it work.β
"The least I could do was tell him how happy I am for him" said Kimi Antonelli "I wanted to win myself but seeing him win with Ferrari something heβs been chasing for a long time is nice to see. He has always been very kind to me and the least I could do was tell him how happy I am for him. Which is true, I really do feel genuinely happy for him."
Piero Ferrari said "I don't think it's a coincidence that Hamilton won his first race with our car precisely in Barcelona, where, 30 years ago, Schumi kicked off his extraordinary series of successes with the Rossa. I see it as a sign of destiny, even a portent for the future that awaits us. I'm not surprised by Hamilton's 'renaissance.' It was obvious that Hamilton didn't like ground-effect cars, and what's more, we hadn't provided him or Leclerc with a competitive car."
Franco Colapinto, Isack Hadjar, more drivers and world press also celebrated the victory.
Thank you for all the joys Lewis Hamilton!! πποΈ
