🚨 TROOPS ENGAGE T£RR0R!STS, RECOVER WEAPONS IN KEBBI STATE PATROL 🚨

Troops of the 1 Brigade, Nigerian Army, operating from Forward Operating Base (FOB) Kyangakwai, engaged suspected Lakurawa t£rr0r!st elements during a fighting patrol in Kebbi State.

The encounter occurred at about 11:00 am on June 14, when troops conducted a patrol towards Dogo Daji in Dandi LGA. The troops made contact with the suspected terrorist group and engaged them in a brief firefight.

📦 Items recovered:
✅ One Rocket‑Propelled Grenade (RPG) tube
✅ Three explosive devices
✅ Two motorcycles
✅ Other sundry items

Following the engagement, troops dominated the area with aggressive patrols to prevent regrouping and ensure continued control of the general area.

Why this matters:

The Lakurawa group has been expanding its footprint along the Kebbi–Niger border. This operation not only recovered weapons but also disrupted their ability to move freely and resupply.

The operation is part of ongoing efforts to curb terrorist activities and enhance security along border communities in Kebbi State and adjoining regions.
