INDIAN AIR FORCE AN-32 CRASH, 5 PERSONNEL CONFIRMED DEAD IN ASSAM

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has confirmed that five personnel lost their lives after an AN-32 transport aircraft crashed during a routine landing at Jorhat Air Force Station in Assam on June 13, 2026.

According to reports, the co-pilot survived the crash and is currently receiving medical treatment.

The IAF has ordered a court of inquiry to determine the exact cause of the accident.

The deceased personnel have been identified as: • Squadron Leader Prashant Singh
• Flight Lieutenant Shubham Kumar
• Sergeant Jitendra Sharma
• Agniveervayu Khemaram Kumawat
• Agniveervayu Danish Alam

The Russian made AN-32 is a key tactical transport aircraft used by the Indian Air Force for supplying remote and high altitude regions across the country.

The tragic incident has sparked an outpouring of grief on social media, with many paying tribute to the fallen personnel while raising concerns about military aviation safety.
