Walking Like Jesus "He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked." — 1 John 2:6 It is easy to wear a Christian label; it is much harder to live a Christian life. God is not merely asking us to talk like Jesus on Sunday—He wants us to walk like Jesus every day. Jesus walked in love when others hated. He forgave when others condemned. He served when others sought to be served. He obeyed His Father even when it was difficult. The true test of our faith is not how loudly we say, "I am a Christian," but how closely our lives resemble Christ. Our words, attitudes, decisions, and actions should point people to Jesus. A bird is known by its song, a tree by its fruit, and a Christian by their walk. If Jesus were walking in your shoes today, what would He do? How would He speak? How would He treat others? Every day is a new opportunity to take one more step in the footprints of Christ. If we belong to Jesus, our lives should look more like Him and less like the world. Today's Challenge: Let someone see Jesus in you through your kindness, humility, forgiveness, and love.
Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, help me not only to speak about You but also to walk like You. Let my life reflect Your love, holiness, righteous lifestyle, humility, and obedience every day. Amen.
