"I was dating my husband for two years while I was still married. Yes, I was still married when my husband saw me in the parking lot and apparently knew that he needed me.

I didn’t just jump into it when the universe presented me with this perfect man. I said to him, “I’m a married woman. Nothing’s ever going to happen.” Even though he knew my circumstances, he was so understanding. I’ll never forget it.

I told him, “I’m a married woman and I’m not ever going to get divorced.” So I thought that was that until the heavens opened up and my marriage went to the place of no return.

And three weeks later, I ended up at a party with this man, and the universe basically sm@ck£d me in the face and said, “If you don’t make a move right now, you’re going to r£gr£t it for the rest of your life.”

So I decided to leave my marriage, and luckily I got married in New York, where there is no one-year separation period. However, I did had a really t£rr!ble lawyer, so my divorce took about two years, and I dated my husband the whole time while I was still in my marriage.

I am so glad that I locked out the outside noise because everybody tried to tell me, “Oh, he’s a rebound,” because it happened so quick.

And if I had listened to everybody who was telling me he was a rebound and telling me I was moving too quickly, I would not be living this beautiful, perfect, gorgeous, stunning, happy fairy-tale life that I’m living today.

So I say this to say, don’t let your husband get in the way of finding the love of your life..."
