Your Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Honorable Minister of Works, Senator Dave Umahi, 240 million Nigerians are writing to express urgent concerns shared by many Nigerians regarding national infrastructure, youth employment, and security.
Respectfully first, Honorable Minister Umahi recently stated that President Tinubu is delivering major road infrastructure projects in the South-East that were originally conceived during the colonial era but abandoned for decades. While this progress is noted, Nigerians are seeking clarity on the following:
How many Nigerian youths and graduates have been employed through federal infrastructure projects?
We demand the Nigerian government abolish online applications and interviews that do not result in mass employment of Nigerian youths and graduates we demand walk ins only
When will large-scale hiring for Nigerian youths and graduates begin, using only valid Nigerian identification such as a National ID or passport?
With over 240 million Nigerians, including millions of unemployed graduates, Nigerians are demanding immediate, transparent, and inclusive employment opportunities uploaded on the global internet
Additionally, we request that the Ministry of Works publicly announce—on official government platforms—the exact timeline for when Nigerian youths & graduates hiring will begin, as well as the expected completion dates for the ongoing road projects. 240 million Nigerians deserve clear, honest communication without slogans or political language.
Finally, we demand the Federal Government to address the root causes of insecurity, including boko haram, and to intensify efforts to rescue all children kidnapped since 1999. National security and the protection of Nigerian children must remain a top priority no lies no slogans
We respectfully request direct, transparent answers to these concerns.
