Lewis Hamilton couldn't back tears of happiness witnessing Scuderia Ferrari sing the Italian National Anthem from the top step of an F1 podium after his historic first win with the team.

“Where do I start? I couldn’t have done this without this amazing team. There’s supper I’ve had from them, for the last year… More so coming into this year.” he said.

“You know, my fans really saved me, through such a difficult moment of last year.”

“Every day, having this dream, since I was a kid, what it would be like, stand on that podium and be the one that’s given the team the moment to sing the national anthem, there’s nothing like it. It’s absolutely incredible.”

“I came from quite a really low place, to get back here. I think it’s just never giving up, never second guessing yourself, never giving up on yourself and just keep on trying.”

At 41, Lewis Hamilton stood on the top of the podium as:

✅ First driver in Formula 1 to win 106 races.

✅ First Formula 1 driver to achieve 206 podiums.

✅ First Formula 1 driver to win a race for McLaren, Mercedes and Ferrari.
