Some of our leaders are deliberately wicked. We can only pray that God should please, change them for good. That they should feel what the hungry masses are feeling. It is only in this way that they can have a change of heart to do the needful.

When praying for a wicked man, one has to be careful of what he says in the prayers. The Bible says it shall not be well with the wicked. The verse even tells us to tell him (the wicked) not as a curse but a factual truth - Isaiah 3:10-11, Ecclesiastes 8:13.

Praying for a wicked leader to prosper is like praying for an oppressor to gain more power or deliberately submitting oneself to continuous oppression. No! When we are praying for our leaders, we must be mindful of our phrases. Some prayers are for good leaders alone. If you offer the prayers for a wicked man, God will not answer you. It's a wrong prayer. If God will not answer bad prayers, we too should not waste time praying bad prayers. While good leaders enjoy prayers of God's support, we should only pray that God changes the bad ones.

I want our leaders to know or those who are close to them to let them know that they are still what they are today because of the few ones who are praying for them. They too should reciprocate by giving masses what belongs to them. God can overlook the prayers of His people for them and avenge them of their wickedness instead; since they don't want to change.

In conclusion, we can as well pray to God to remove wicked leaders from the good positions they are occupying. A square peg is not made for a round hole.
