A night of t£rr0r unfolded in Owo Local Government Area, Ondo State, as gunmen stormed a palace and abducted 60‑year‑old traditional ruler, Adeniyi Adelana (Baale of Ode Oriya) , in a violent attack that left his wife injured.

The palace was invaded. The ruler was taken. His wife was shot.

This is not just an attack on a traditional institution. It is an attack on the traditional security architecture of the South‑West. When b@nd!ts can invade a palace, abduct a monarch, and shoot his wife, no traditional ruler is safe. No community is secure.

The government must act not with statements, but with boots on the ground.
