We spend far too much time worrying about what people will say, forgetting that we have no control over it. The irony is that whether we act or remain still, succeed or fail, people are already saying whatever it is we fear they are saying. Opinion is one of the few things in life we cannot govern. Therefore, it is far better to concern ourselves with the integrity of our actions than with the commentary of observers. A purposeful life cannot be lived seeking permission from the crowd.
