Morocco positioning itself as bridge for Africa-Europe trade, says minister

Leila Benali, Morocco’s minister of energy transition and sustainable development, says the country is positioning itself as a strategic bridge for trade and investment between Africa and Europe as it expands infrastructure in ports, energy and logistics.

Benali spoke at the inaugural ELI Morocco Forum in Tangier, held on the sidelines of the 14th International Equestrian Festival MATA, on Friday, where she said Morocco’s development strategy is anchored on international partnerships designed to build domestic capability rather than dependency.
