I Still Trust the Road Even Though It's Disappearing
There comes a point in every journey when the road ahead begins to fade. The familiar signs vanish, the map becomes unreliable, and the destination seems hidden behind a curtain of uncertainty. It is in those moments that character is tested.
Many people trust the road when it is wide, smooth, and clearly marked. Few trust it when it narrows into the unknown. Yet history is made by those who continue walking even when the path disappears beneath their feet.
I still trust the road, not because I know where it leads, but because every scar I carry reminds me that I have survived roads far more difficult than this one. Every setback became a lesson. Every disappointment became a teacher. Every detour revealed something I could never have discovered by staying still.
The disappearing road is not always a sign that we are lost. Sometimes it is an invitation to rely on something deeper than certainty. It asks us to trust our instincts, our values, and the experiences that shaped us. It reminds us that the future is not revealed all at once. It unfolds one step at a time.
The world celebrates those who arrive, but often overlooks those who keep moving when every reason suggests they should stop. Yet resilience is born in uncertainty. Hope is forged in darkness. Faith finds its meaning when evidence is scarce.
So I keep walking. The road may be disappearing, but my resolve is not. The horizon may be hidden, but the journey continues. And if the path vanishes completely, then perhaps it is my turn to create one.
Because sometimes the greatest act of courage is not knowing where you are going—it is taking the next step anyway
