Your Excellency Esteemed Mr. Peter Obi, 240 million Nigerians are
writing to express deep concern regarding recent public statements made by Senator Seriake Dickson, in which he claimed that you and the Labor Party/NDC leadership offered Aisha Yesufu a House of Representatives ticket which she declined. He also stated that the public was unaware of efforts made by the party to accommodate key figures ahead of the 2027 elections.

These reports have raised serious questions among supporters and 240 million Nigerians and the global world who expect transparency, fairness, and strict adherence to democratic processes. Aisha Yesufu had previously expressed interest in the FCT senatorial race before withdrawing, and the current situation has created confusion and suspicion.

240 million Nigerians are now asking why Aisha Yesufu is being associated with alleged financial inducements. Such allegations, if left unaddressed, risk undermining public trust. We therefore demand that Aisha Yesufu upload a verifiable video on the global internet clarifying whether any money was offered by you or the party. Transparency is essential to dispel doubts.

Furthermore, we insist that all candidates must emerge through credible primary elections, not through handpicking or financial influence. Anything short of a transparent primary process is viewed as corruption and a betrayal of democratic values. These practices are part of the systemic issues that have historically fueled instability and distrust in governance.

We therefore demand a proper primary election between Aisha Yesufu and any other aspirant. INEC, the courts, and the EFCC must ensure due process is followed. Democracy cannot thrive where internal party processes lack fairness.

We urge you to address these concerns publicly and take the necessary steps to restore confidence.
