Your Excellencies and Distinguished Leaders, 240 million Nigerians write to you out of deep concern for the ongoing insecurity affecting millions of Nigerians, and with a strong appeal for unified national action. No country or leader is perfect, but Nigeria can and must do better. The root causes of boko haram, banditry, and mass kidnappings must be addressed with urgency, sincerity, and collaboration.
The recent call by the Southern Kaduna Journalists Forum for the rescue of worshippers abducted in Ariko Village reflects a broader national crisis. Nigerians across all regions continue to suffer abductions, displacement, and violence. We cannot allow this to continue.
We respectfully urge the Presidency, opposition parties, independent candidates, and all elected officials to work together with governors across the 36 states and the 774 Local Government Areas to:
Fix the root causes of boko haram and violent extremism now no lies no slogans
Rescue all Nigerians kidnapped since 1999.
Strengthen security infrastructure, including drones and CCTV systems nationwide in the 36 states 774 LGA
Enable 240 million Nigerian to report crimes quickly and safely through mobile alerts.
Respectfully drain the swamp of corruption across all institutions, including the president executive, legislature, judiciary, and anti-corruption agencies.
If political actors—whether in government, opposition, or independent—cannot work together to fix these root causes, Nigerians will continue to face preventable suffering. The nation cannot afford further delay.
A secure Nigeria will allow over 240 million Nigerians to return to farming, rebuild agricultural capacity, and achieve food sufficiency. This is not only possible but necessary for national stability and prosperity of our children and grandchildren
We demand to all leaders to rise above party lines and personal interests. The lives and future of Nigerian children depend on decisive, united action now 6/13/2026 no lies no slogans
Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter.
