Nigeria’s only goal came throughAkor Adams, but Chelle believes the result should not overshadow the benefits gained from facing one of the strongest teams in world football.

🗣️ “When you play against top-class opposition, the most important thing is what you learn from the experience. Portugal are among the best teams in the world and rightly considered one of the favourites for the World Cup.”

The Malian tactician noted that the match served as an important assessment tool, giving his coaching staff the opportunity to evaluate new faces and observe how players perform under the intensity of elite international football.
