Before She Was Murdered By Bandits, Her Last Words To Her Family Left Them In Tears
A 23-year-old woman—barely an adult, still full of dreams—was kidnapped in Nigeria by bandits. They demanded 50 million naira for her release. Her family begged, pleaded, and cried for mercy, but the bandits refused to reduce the amount by a single kobo.
For two weeks, her father fought like a lion. He borrowed, sold assets, and bled himself dry to raise every kobo. Finally, he gathered the 50 million naira. Desperate to hear his daughter’s voice one last time before paying, he called the captors. They gave her daughter a phone to speak to him to ensure she is still alive before paying the money, only for her to come on the phone.
Instead of begging to be saved, she told her father: “Don’t pay. I will kill myself if they release me.” She was woefully failed by the system, yet she was extremely brave.
For fourteen days—fourteen unthinkable, merciless days—those monsters had been raping her. Over and over. Daily. Hourly. They destroyed her soul while she was still alive.
When the bandits heard what she said, they put a bullet through her head. Then, they sent her family the video and pictures of her final moments.
That girl did not just die; she was murdered after being tortured in ways no human being should ever suffer. The video is now among tens and hundreds censored by the Nigeria government through the help of the media.
Sadly, today most Nigerians- students, teachers, farmers, travellers are terrified living right in their own country while those in government do nothing to clamp down on this inhumanity.
