Canada avoided becoming just the second World Cup host nation to lose their tournament opener as they scored late to earn a point from their clash with Bosnia and Herzegovina in Toronto.

The result marks Canada's first point in World Cup history, they had lost all six of their previous matches played in their previous two appearances in 1986 and 2022.

This is also Bosnia and Herzegovina's second World Cup appearance after a group stage exit in 2014.
