WHAT DOES WHERE DO?

WHERE helps you

filter data

Example:

SELECT name, score

FROM students

WHERE score > 80;

This means:

👉 Show only students whose score is above 80.

Without WHERE, you see everything.

With WHERE, you see only what matters.

That’s why filtering is powerful in SQL.
