🇳🇬 LET'S RESCUE THE SOUL OF NIGERIA |

📖 PSALM 33:12:
BLESSED IS THE NATION WHOSE GOD IS THE LORD; AND THE PEOPLE WHOM HE HATH CHOSEN FOR HIS OWN INHERITANCE.

The soul of a nation is its collective identity, values, conscience, and destiny.

When the soul of a nation is healthy, its people flourish. When it is wounded, the effects are seen in every sector of society.

If you observe what we are going through right now as a nation, you will wonder how we are still surviving.

I have been privileged to visit and spend time in some African nations, and I can confidently say that not every nation would be able to endure what Nigeria and Nigerians have endured over the years.

The cost of living continues to rise. Food prices, fuel, electricity, transportation, and basic necessities have become increasingly expensive.

Alongside these challenges, we face insecurity in various forms--terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, and violent crimes.

These realities are choking the soul of our nation, and Nigeria needs divine intervention and responsible leadership.

I often say that Nigeria has five major challenges:

1. Foundation
2. Corruption
3. Religion
4. Region
5. Election

Each of these occupies a significant place in our national struggles.

If we sincerely address these issues with courage, justice, and patriotism, we will begin to enjoy the benefits of being one of the most blessed nations on earth.

Unfortunately, these problems have multiplied and produced even more challenges that continue to affect the growth and progress of our country. Yet, despite all these difficulties, I remain hopeful.

I believe these trials will pass, and Nigeria will eventually enter into her colorful and glorious destination.

As citizens, leaders, politicians, lawyers, professionals, and stakeholders in every sphere of life, nation-building must become our collective responsibility.

We should think about it, work towards it, pray about it, and commit ourselves to it daily.

As we approach another electoral cycle in 2027, we have another opportunity to make the right choices.

Those entrusted with electoral responsibilities must uphold integrity, fairness, and credibility. Elections should truly reflect the will of the people.

Likewise, those elected into positions of authority must remember that every decision they make becomes part of both personal and national history.

Leadership is a sacred trust, and future generations will judge today's actions.

Today, on this Democracy Day, I pray that the soul of Nigeria shall not be choked. May the Lord intervene in our affairs, heal our land, strengthen our institutions, raise righteous leaders, and bless our nation with peace, prosperity, and unity.

May God bless Nigeria.
