A viral video shows a group of Nigerians gathered in Mexico City to support Mexico in their match against South Africa, enjoying the celebration in the Mexican capital.

Nigeria and Mexico recently marked 50 years of diplomatic relations, with Nigeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs describing the milestone as a testament to a stable and mutually beneficial partnership built on mutual respect, non-interference and a shared commitment to peace and development.

The ministry said ties officially established since April 14, 1974 have expanded across trade, energy, agriculture, education, culture and technical exchange, while both nations deepen economic diplomacy and South-South cooperation through dialogue, stronger institutions and people-to-people links.
