APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda has defended President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms, saying the administration’s bold decisions are restoring Nigeria’s economic stability and strengthening investor confidence. Speaking at a strategic communications workshop in Abuja, Yilwatda highlighted improvements in government revenue, foreign reserves, fiscal management, sovereign credit ratings, and a reported ₦7.55 trillion trade surplus in Q1 2026. He argued that difficult reforms, including the removal of fuel subsidies and foreign exchange market adjustments, are beginning to yield results. Meanwhile, Gombe State Governor Inuwa Yahaya accused the opposition of promoting disinformation and urged supporters to counter criticism with facts, while Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma expressed confidence that Tinubu’s performance will secure him a second term in 2027.
