It is not just shameful; it is utterly sickening to watch yet another young leader become entangled in the reckless bleeding of Nigeria's wealth. Yesterday’s Senate probe was a grotesque display and a profound national disgrace. How can the Managing Director of the South East Development Commission (SEDC), Mark Okoye, comfortably remain in office after defending a staggering ₦153 million expenditure just to rent a single-room liaison office in Abuja?
The records are damning.

The commission received ₦16.6 billion from the Central Bank of Nigeria in December. By June, a massive ₦3.6 billion had already evaporated with absolutely nothing to show for it, leaving ₦13 billion sitting in the accounts. Nigeria is sinking, yet those called to serve continue to view public office not as a duty to the people, but as a golden ticket to plunder and enrich themselves.

To Mark Okoye: your financial report is more than a personal embarrassment; it is a direct betrayal of every young Nigerian who dared to hope that a leader from our generation would do better. You have handed ammunition to the cynics who claim youth leadership is no different from the old guard.

It is not just shameful; it is utterly sickening to watch yet another young leader become entangled...
