Yesterday morning, I went jogging around 6 a.m. and noticed a school bus already picking up children.

That got me thinking.

If those children were already on their way to school by 6 a.m., it means many of them may have been awake as early as 5 a.m. or even earlier to get ready. What really caught my attention was that when I looked into the bus, almost all the children were asleep.

It made me wonder: is this normal?

Growing up, I don’t remember having to wake up that early for school, even in secondary school. These children looked very young—some of them couldn’t have been more than 5 years old.

I genuinely want to hear from parents and teachers:

🔹 Is waking very young children this early for school a normal practice?

🔹 Are we placing too much stress on them?

🔹 If they’re already sleeping in the bus, won’t some of them end up tired and sleepy in class?

🔹 What exactly do they do in school when they arrive that early, sometimes even before some teachers?

I’m not criticizing anyone. I’m genuinely curious and open to learning. If I’m missing something, please educate me.
