Your Excellencies Mr. President, Minister Tegbe, 240 million Nigerians are writing to you as a concerned Nigerian citizen regarding the long‑standing issues surrounding electricity supply, public promises made to Nigerians, and the urgent need for transparency and accountability in the power sector.
For decades, Nigerians have paid electricity bills faithfully, yet millions still live in darkness. Promises of improved power supply, free public WiFi/data, and nationwide electrification have been repeated by successive administrations. Unfortunately, these promises have not translated into real change for the 240 million Nigerians across the 36 states and 774 LGAs.
The recent conviction of a former Minister of Power for diverting funds meant for national power projects has further damaged public trust. Nigerians are rightfully demanding assurance that the same patterns of corruption, unfulfilled promises, and policy inconsistencies will not continue under your leadership.
Your recent statement promising improvements in electricity supply has been noted. However, Nigerians are no longer satisfied with slogans or general assurances. We are demanding now 6/9/2026
A clear and specific timeline for when reliable electricity will be available nationwide.
A transparent visible progress for delivering free public WiFi/data as promised during past campaigns.
An explanation of how the government intends to compensate 240 million Nigerians who have paid electricity bills for decades without receiving adequate service. No lies no slogans we demand money alerts of 1000,000 naira/monthly on Nigerian phones for the next decades to 240 million Nigerians if the Nigerian government are serious
The abolition of the Band A/B/C tariff system, which many Nigerians view as unfair and ineffective.
A commitment to ensuring that public funds allocated to the power sector are protected from corruption and mismanagement.
Nigerians expect the same level of access to electricity, connectivity, and basic services that government officials enjoy in Abuja. We are demanding for fairness, accountability, and delivery—not more promises.
Respectfully we demand you to take these concerns seriously and provide a concrete, time‑bound plan that demonstrates your commitment to real progress.
