I'm just a girl from a small, landlocked country surrounded by mountains 🇳🇵...who somehow fell in love with the ocean 🌊

In Nepal, there's no sea. No coral reefs. No dive shops. Just endless high mountains and dreams that sometimes feel too big for where you're born. I first saw scuba diving on TV and on YouTube and something inside me just knew that I had to dive.

I couldn't swim properly, never swam in open water and had never even been on a boat. But in 2022, I went to Thailand, walked into a dive shop, and with courage I said "I want to be a certified diver." They hesitated. 😂 And honestly, I don't blame them!
My first Open Water course was overwhelming. I was scared, I struggled and I hated it. I remember telling myself I would never dive again. But, I gave it one more chance. And that second chance changed everything. The silence. The rhythm of breathing, the way the ocean holds you if you let it. I fell in love in a way I can't explain.

But, diving isn't cheap. Especially when youre from Nepal, funding everything on your own, saving for years, sacrificing so much just to have a few precious moments underwater. But, taking one step at a time, one dive at a time, I kept on going. And after years of saving, training, and believing in myself, I became a certified Divemaster in 2024, one of the few female certified divemasters from Nepal.

I'm from the mountains who found her place in the sea.

If a girl who could barely swim, who had never seen the ocean in real life, can become a Divemaster,, imagine what's possible next.

I dont have many pictures of me diving cause I'm usually the one taking pictures and videos of other people.. so had to take these pictures from videos 😂
