🚨 “Mummy, I don’t want to go there again…”

Sometimes, children say little things adults ignore, not knowing those words may be hiding pain.

Not every child refusing to visit an auntie, uncle, or relative is being rude or stubborn. Some children are trying to avoid places where they are constantly shouted at, beaten, bullied, maltreated, or even abused secretly.

As parents, please pay attention to sudden changes in your child’s behavior.

That child that used to be happy visiting someone may suddenly become quiet, scared, or uncomfortable anytime that person is mentioned.

Instead of forcing them or saying:
“They are your family.”
“Stop behaving somehow.”
“Must you always complain?”

Try to listen calmly.

Children may not always know how to explain what is happening to them, but their attitude, fear, and silence can say a lot.

Not every home is safe for every child.

Sometimes, believing your child early can save them from years of pain and trauma.

Please listen to your children more. ❤️
