Your Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Honorable Minister Festus Keyamo, 240 million Nigerians are writing to express deep concern regarding the recently announced $500 million allocation to rebuild the Lagos airport and transform it into a major aviation hub within 22 months.

While improving aviation infrastructure is important, 240 million Nigerians are struggling daily, and it is difficult to accept that such a large sum—described as coming from the "sweat of the savings of the country"—would be dedicated to a single airport project. Nigerians across all 36 states and 774 local government areas face urgent challenges that require immediate and equitable investment.

With all due respect sirs 240 million Nigerians have concerns, and we demand this recommendation done now 6/8/2026

The claim that Nigeria has $500 million in savings raises questions, given the economic hardship faced by 240 million Nigerians

Rebuilding one airport in Lagos alone does not address the needs of the entire nation in the 36 states 774 LGA

A 22‑month timeline delays the creation of jobs that millions of youths and graduates urgently need now 6/8/2026

No disrespect sirs these are demanded in good faith and in the interest of national development in the 36 states 774 LGA

Divide the funds so that all 36 states and 774 LGAs benefit from infrastructure development.

Prioritize free hospitals, housing, and schools across the country.

Invest heavily in farming and agriculture to create sustainable jobs and reduce hunger.

Ensure transparent daily public reporting on how every naira of this fund is spent. Courts need to interfere if they are serious and cares for future of Nigerian children

Empower Nigerian graduates and youths by hiring them to monitor and audit the projects now 6/8/2026

Strengthen judicial oversight to ensure accountability.

Nigeria needs balanced development, not concentration of resources in one location. 240 million Nigerians deserve investments that address insecurity, unemployment, poverty, and the root causes of instability.

We urge you to reconsider the allocation strategy and ensure that this money truly serves all 240 million Nigerians.

Temitope Onibonoje: Bros what you want is for us to line up collecting it to eat? Please, let us be thinking at times. At least we are seeing the project.
Henry Emeka: Not sure what you mean. Nobody asks you to line up; more so, I do not do keyboard fights. We can have a conversation. No need to be disrespectful, tell us where you are, we'll meet you, or you come to the USA
Henry Emeka: That was to show the Nigerian government, past /present opposition parties' independent candidates that 240 million Nigerians are suffering in poverty & darkness while politicians live in luxury homes, free light, drive luxury cars, and lie to Nigerians to have hope & pray you can support any party...
Henry Emeka: @temitopeonibon, no need to be disrespectful. You can have your opinion, freedom of speech, which I know we do not have in Nigeria. I am not seeing any visible progress. Once again, your choice of which party to choose
