Your Excellencies Mr. President, opposition parties, independent candidates 240 million Nigerians
are writing to express deep concern shared by many Nigerians regarding the Abuja $460m CCTV project, the status of payments to contractors, and the continued hardship faced by Nigerians across the 36 states and 774 local government areas. Why is the money sent to Abuja instead of been given to governors in the 36 states 774 LGA to install the CCTV cameras in the 36 states 774 LGA

Recent reports indicate that the Federal Government has approved payments for over 1,240 contractors across ministries and agencies. Yet, despite these payments, Nigerians still do not see the results on the ground. The CCTV project meant to improve national security remains incomplete, and there is no clear public record of local contractors involved. This raises urgent questions about transparency, accountability, and the whereabouts of the funds allocated for these critical projects.

240 million of Nigerians continue to live in darkness and poverty despite paying electricity bills for decades. Meanwhile, government officials enjoy uninterrupted power, security, and comfort at public expense. This inequality fuels frustration and erodes trust in public institutions.

We are calling for the following actions:

Full disclosure of all funds released for the Abuja CCTV project and similar projects across the 36 states and 774 LGAs.

Immediate recovery of misappropriated funds and prosecution of those responsible.

Installation of CCTV cameras nationwide to improve security and create employment opportunities for Nigerian youths and graduates.

Investment in free public Wi-Fi/data and reliable electricity access for all Nigerians.

Reform of anti-corruption institutions to ensure they serve the people effectively.

Prioritization of rescuing kidnapped children and addressing the root causes of insecurity.

Nigerians deserve transparency, justice, and meaningful development. We demand your office to take decisive action to restore public confidence and deliver the security and infrastructure the nation urgently needs.
