**The Finance Team Was Right**

The system worked.

Transactions processed.

Performance was good.

Availability was high.

But finance kept asking questions engineering wasn't asking.

Can we trust the numbers?

Can we trace every transaction?

Can we explain discrepancies?

Can we prove what happened?

That's when I learned an important lesson:

A system isn't successful because it works.

It's successful because the business can trust it.
