Japan's strategic oil reserves fell to a record low, says Kpler. Crude imports dropped 66% in April amid the Strait of Hormuz blockade, per the Japanese Ministry of Economy.

Japan is drawing heavily from reserves and ranks third after China and India in reliance on Hormuz oil supplies.
